Full description
This tour will not only take you to Kyoto's main sightseeing spots, but also Kyoto's hidden gems that you cannot miss during your visit to Japan. Hop aboard a comfortable coach and drive to Japan's ancient capital. Your first stop is Kifune Shrine, which is where the God of water is worshipped. Near Heian Jingu is a hidden gem, Okazaki Shrine, which is your next stop. On your way to the next stop, you will be able to capture the beauty of Heian Shrine from inside the bus.

When you come to Kyoto, you have to go to the Gion area - this area is full of history and traditional architecture. After strolling around Hanamikoji, you will visit Yasaka Shrine, the most famous shrine in the Gion area; this Shrine has 1,350 years of history. Next, you will be guided to Higashiyama. In Higashiyama you will visit Yasaka Koshindo, famous for its colorful wishing balls called “Kukurizaru”, which make this a vivid, colorful, and photogenic temple to visit. Then you will head to Hokanji Temple, the oldest pagoda in Kyoto that was founded in the 6th Century.

After all of these cultural experiences, you will head to the last photo spot of the day, the Bamboo Forest and Kimono Forest in Arashiyama. Bamboo Forest is one of the most famous places to visit in Kyoto; walking along the path between the soaring stalks of bamboo is like being transported to another world. Along with the seasons, the scenery here changes from bright and green in Spring and Summer to orange-tinted Autumn and snow covered in Winter. Kimono Forest is a collection of brilliant cylinder-shaped pillars framing the lane way to Randen tram station. The pillars are clustered like a forest and a kimono is displayed on each of the pillars. You can take fabulous pictures surrounded by the pillars before heading back to Osaka.
