Wind through the forest and stop at Bald Hill Lookout, which affords sweeping views of the Illawarra coastline and the famous Sea Cliff Bridge. Next, it's on to the family-run Symbio Wildlife Park, active in koala conservation. A unique tour that includes the coastline, dairy countryside, remote beaches and coastal walks. A truly Aussie day out with lunch and stops at local rural towns. Our tour takes you through the dairy countryside, winding, scenic roads through the national park and coastal seaside beaches. It blends beautifully all the contrast of the bush, the farmlands and the beaches of the Australian landscape. Explore our Kiama coastline and the Kiama Blowhole. The Blowhole elevation allows for great ocean viewing and opportunity to spot whales during their migration season (May – November). Walk across remote beaches, spot wildlife, dive in for a swim or watch the local surfers catch a wave. Visit the small township of Jamberoo, the lush fertile valleys and farmland foothills of Saddleback Mountain. These green pastures are home to many, many dairy cows that supply much of Sydney's milk. Keep a lookout for our native animals – perhaps the superb lyrebird, echidna or kangaroos as we enjoy the views and lookouts of this area. Our Grand Pacific Drive is part of the 140-kilometre award winning South Coast drive. See some of the best local beaches in the Illawarra and South Coast region and the famous Seacliff Bridge. Sydney: Royal National Park private day tour

Sydney: Royal National Park private day tour

The Royal National Park tour is flexible and allows you to choose from one of two coastal walks; Eagle Rock or Wedding Cake Rock. The length of each walk varies: Eagle Rock takes around 2hrs 30 minutes, whilst Wedding Cake takes around 90 minutes. Your guide will outline the nature of the walks either prior to the tour or on the way in the car. If you would prefer to do more of a sightseeing day we can change the itinerary to limit the amount of walking. Another option is a visit to nearby Symbio Wildlife Park if you would like to see native animals. We start the day by picking you up at your accommodation and making our way to the Royal National Park via historic Botany Bay. Once in the park we stop at Wattamolla where a waterfall drops over a wide sandstone cliff face into a freshwater pool. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall forms into a stream that gently meanders to the beach. The beach is protected from ocean swell and is a pleasant place to swim in the warmer months. After stopping at the waterfall and beach we head to Providential Point. The point provides magnificent views of steep cliffs in both directions. If you have chosen to walk to Eagle Rock we will continue south. Otherwise we head to Bundeena for the walk to Wedding Cake Rock. We walk at a pace to suit you. On our way to either Eagle Rock or Wedding Cake Rock we see a range of native plants including Wattles, Banksias, Grass Trees, Casuarinas and Gymea Lillies. The park has many native birds, such as ravens, kookaburras, lyre birds, cockatoos and honeyeaters. If lucky we may come across an echidna. After enjoying our time at either Eagle Rock or Wedding Cake Rock (including photos taken by your guide - his camera or yours) we enjoy a refreshing lunch of sandwiches and salad. It is now time for a drive through the Royal National Park where we see the beauty of the rainforest, which includes red cedar trees, eucalypts, ferns, palms and climbing vines. When we leave the park we are greeted by panoramic views to the south from Bald Hill lookout. On some days, depending upon the conditions, we will see para gliders and hang gliders in action. Our next stop is one of the most scenic spots on the south coast of New South Wales, Sea Cliff Bridge. Sea Cliff Bridge is a spectacular cantilevered bridge that has great curves and provides outstanding views of the surrounding areas including several massive rock platforms. We take a short walk at this point and cannot help but admire the massive cliff that regularly dropped rocks onto the former road. Our final stop for the day is the historic hotel, the Imperial at Clifton, for a coffee or cold drink. After enjoying a day in nature we return you to your lodgings. If you would like to finalise the plan for the day get in touch and we will draft an itinerary to include the walks and places you wish to visit. Alternatively we can work out the day plan on the way to the national park.

The service was excellent, the choice for lunch was very wide and the snacks offered were a great surprise, very good and sweet fruit and the Lemington, a typical Australian dessert really good. Schedules respected to perfection with exceptional punctuality. Craig, our driver, proved to be a very prepared guide who took us, among many others, to a very particular place where we could see several kangaroos in freedom, an absolutely unforgettable experience

Greg is an exceptional guide and although there was a total fire ban on the day of my tour, limiting access, he improvised in a way that I felt I missed out on nothing at all. I totally recommend this tour!

We loved the whole day. Symbio was fabulous and the drive through beautiful landscapes was incredible. Tony took great care of us and made some excellent suggestions for other activities we could do.

Steve was a wonderful guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time at the Symbio wildlife park. We felt like VIP throughout our tour. Highly recommended!

Rowan did a tremendous job of guiding our group on the tour. A wonderful day out. Highly recommended.
