  • Be the musher and drive your own sled
Full description

Meet and mush with your new howling, furry friends on this safari adventure. Huskies are one of the most beloved animals of the North, and you’ll understand why as soon as you meet the pack. Pet them, pose with them for photos, and listen to stories about their lives.   Then, take a 5- to 10-kilometer long husky sled ride, where you get to be the musher yourself. This means you can control the pack of huskies towing the sled.

The dogs absolutely love pulling loads and running on the trail across the forests. Feel the thrill of the ride and the cool wind on your face as you tear through the forests.   Finish off with a hot drink before saying goodbye to your new friends.

We had an amazing time on this husky adventure. We got our warm clothes on then made our way over to the huskies. The guide showed us how to drive and off we went. Half way around the loop we stopped to change drivers. The dogs didn’t go too fast, so as a first time sled driver it was very approachable. We had a terrific time enjoying the scenery as well. We finished the loop, petted the dogs who drove us, then gathered around the fire for a warm juice and cookie. The guide (Timo?) gave us tons of information on huskies, the dog racing scene, and wildlife in Lapland. He was wonderful. Highly recommend!

We were in small groups, supplied with protective clothing and boots. Given clear instructions on how to drive the sleigh. The dogs were very keen to get going, spent a good time on the sleigh and after were allowed to spend time making a fuss of the dogs. we weren't rushed, it was a most enjoyable afternoon. Would recommend this trip well worth it.

This was our first activity during our holiday and it couldn’t have been a better start. Make sure to tell the company your hotel, because they most likely will pick you up. I totally forgot, so we took a taxi to the meeting point in the city centre to then realize we are going back anyway. We started on time with a short walk to the dogs, where our guide gave us a quick instruction on how to ride the sled. We then got places to our sleds and off we went. There is a guide in front of the convoy and also in the back. Halfway we stopped for some photo opportunities and for the chance to swap „driver“. Back at the camp we were able to pet the dogs and ask questions. We also got some yummy tea at a campfire. I‘d do it all over again!
