What to Expect
Enjoy a Vatican experience like no other, accompanied by an expert, English-speaking guide. While all is still quiet before the throngs of tourists arrive, you’ll walk through the corridors of the Vatican Museums with a world of art to enjoy in peace.

Begin your 5-hour Vatican tour savoring a rich American breakfast in the Vatican cafeteria, delighting in everything from croissants to muffins, eggs to pancakes, fresh fruits and jams to cereals and cookies. Get your caffeine fix for the day with both espresso and American coffee, or choose other cold and hot beverages as you desire.

After your palate-pleasing morning breakfast, you’ll hop on a comfortably shaded open-air private coach. As you ride through hidden parts of Vatican State that have just recently opened to the public, your guide will entertain you with historical anecdotes and interesting information.

Be among the privileged few to see the Vatican railway station, the giant Year 2000 Jubilee Bell, the stunning meditation gardens used by popes since 1279, and the pope’s private heliport.

This 45-minute ride through the Vatican state will pique your curiosity for the rest of the tour. Next you’ll enter the Vatican Museums, where you’ll marvel at the incredible collections of art and religious artifacts on a 3-hour guided tour. Your expert guide will ensure that you don’t miss the most important works of art!

See the stunning Raphael Rooms and the famous characters modeled in the School of Athens. Marvel at Michelangelo’s mastery in the Sistine Chapel and enjoy the humor as your guide points out the private jokes painted into the world’s most iconic artwork. You’ll also learn about the painful punishments Michelangelo painted for his enemies and the secret personal message he left for the Pope.

Your tour will come to an end with a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica, where you’ll discover even more masterpieces of art. Admire the world-renowned altar, Michelangelo’s Pieta, and the Basilica itself with its massive dome.
