What to Expect
Take an opportunity to see Rome in one day. If you don't have enough time to visit the city, or, if you prefer to enjoy a quick experience, then this is perfect for you!
At first you'll see the most visited monument in Italy and the symbol of Rome itself, the Colosseum. Close your eyes and imagine to hear spectators cheering the gladiators and animals roaring on the arena.
You'll walk in the Roman Forum, the main square of the Ancient Rome named "umbilicus urbis", or belly button. Strolling through Piazza Venezia, with the massive Vittoriano monument standing in the middle, you'll get to the Trevi Fountain. Don't forget to toss a coin in the water in order to return to Rome!
Next you'll see the Pantheon, a roman temple considered the greatest architecture and engineering masterpiece ever erected by humans. Before lunch is Piazza Navona considered the triumph of the Baroque Art with Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers standing in the middle and worldwide famous for the movies “La dolce vita” and “Angels and Demons”.
In the afternoon the visit goes on in the Vatican Museums, the 7th most visited museum in the world. You’ll be amazed by the Sistine Chapel. The place where the Pope is elected is very famous for the amazing frescoes painted by Michelangelo: the Creation of Adam and the Last Judgment.
At the end you’ll see St. Peter's Basilica, the heart of the Catholicism built over Peter's grave.
