The guide was great very informative and had pictures. the collesum was very touristy and restrictive. I wasn't able to get the feeling of being somewhere with so much history. the gladiator floor...not very interesting, I guess you can see a little bit better into the underground portion. make sure you bring water... especially if it is 38 deg like today. no water buying inside. found a gentleman selling frozen water bottles outside the exit for 2€ and I almost bought all of them! I think the nighttime tour may be a little cooler both in temperature and being less busy. glad I saw the collesum

Wonderful tour of the Colosseum hosted by Eddy. He was informative, funny, engaging and my kids also really enjoyed it, especially the gladiator talk. We started at 9:30am and finished at 11am. This was the perfect amount of time in the intense heat. Also, the office was easy to find (however located on the street level, not the second floor as indicated) and the office check in staff were also very nice. I highly recommend this tour for families.

Flavio is so passionate in the way he delivers his tour. Amazing tour guide, easy to follow and welcomes questions and interactions. He is such fun and super enjoyable to be around. Loved his approach regarding being out in the sunshine for too long- he educates us in the shade and then encouraged us to explore in our own time in the hot sun!
