Begin with a visit to the Circus Maximus, once the largest chariot-racing stadium in ancient Rome. Take a stroll around the venue that now plays host to large events such as rock concerts.
Climb the Aventine Hill, passing through the Municipal Rose Garden. When you reach the top, you’ll stop to take a peek through the famous keyhole at the Villa del Priorato dei Cavalieri di Malta, for a magical view of St. Peter's Basilica.
The tour continues to the opposite side of the hill, where you’ll conclude your visit in Testaccio, which today is one of the trendier districts of Rome.
