Full description
After meeting your guide at the meeting point in front of the Lungotevere Castello, take part in an express 1-hour tour of the Castel Sant'Angelo’s incredible terrace. Skip the lines and enter the castle accompanied by your guide to experience the magnificent terrace which offers one of the best views of the Eternal City of Rome. The view opens 360 degrees towards the city center from the grounds of the castle and beyond the River Tiber. Admire the St. Angelo Bridge, one of the most scenic masterpieces of Roman Baroque design, adorned with 10 angel statues symbolizing love and passion. See the many iconic buildings and sights surrounding the castle such as the Palazzo di Giustizia (Palace of Justice), the Villa Borghese, the Quirinal Palace, the Pantheon, Capitoline Hill, Aventine Hill, and the Janiculum. Look towards St. Peter's Basilica where you can appreciate the Passetto di Borgo, a passage way that connects Castel Sant'Angelo with Vatican City. After this fantastic experience, you are free to visit the remaining levels of the castle at your own pace. Super friendly guide very knowledgeable about the history of the castle and open to questions. Once the visit was over, we were able to enjoy another 1 hour of visiting it without the guide and enjoying their little restaurant. But I really recommend the visit with a guide, as noted because the experience is really great.

We could hardly believe it. At the airport, Mattia is standing there with a sign with our name on it. :-) we were actually alone. Not like usual with 40 people. We got a great tour and Mattia explained a lot to us. Now you have to say that in engelsburg this is also a maximum challenge because things are so old that a few things are changed every few hundred years and if you want to understand what it was or was like at the time, that's rather ambitious. But all in all very interesting and a great guide. The price is very steep, but worth it for us in times of mass tourism. We say: do it!
