Our guide Ditziano was very good, she was knowledgeable about the attractions and had a good sense of humour, she even took the time to find out where everyone was from. We enjoyed being able to see most of the important sites and having an english speaking guide was useful. It is a lot of walking & the pavements can can be quite uneven so wear sensible shoes.

The Colosseum/Forum/Pantheon are all amazing and definitely worth seeing in Rome, but NOT with a million other tourists! That said, our guide made it a very pleasant tour and well worth the money. I think Tziana may be the best tour guide we have ever had! We highly recommend her, and her talents to anyone touring Rome.

An excellent tour

We did this tour during a heatwave (39C) and still enjoyed a 3.5 hour walk! I will explain why! The start of the day did not look good - Rome council had decided to make entry to the Colloseum free just 2 days prior so it was very busy. Further, the Colloseum had a power cut so people could not get in. Also as usual in Italy the registration for our walk on the street was quite disorganised. BUT! Then we got our guide and all was well. She had a clear voice which carried well anyway and sounded clear in the ear buds they give you. She was enthusiastic, friendly and had just perfect skills at crowd control - she numbers our groups so we could check off being together very fast. She was mindful of our comfort in the heat and describe when the next water fountain was for drinking and we all got in sync so we did not have to wait at every one for a just one person to refill a bottle. I think getting a good guide could make or break your day. The tour itself was thorough. Recommended.
