Full description
Experience the cuisine and food culture of Italy and Rome on a 3-hour private tour of the “Eternal City,” and sample authentic ingredients at food markets and stores. As you walk, you will see some of Rome’s most magnificent monuments, although these are the mere backdrop to a culinary feast. Even if you think you already know Roman food, surprise yourself at 10 tastings with a local host. Sample quality foods as you drool your way through the city, and try an original pizza Bianca. Get you lips around a gelato based on an authentic recipe, and savor snacks such as suppli and cannoli at possibly the best patisserie in Rome. Meet at the Campo de’ Fiori to try some fruits from the medieval market’s stalls. Enjoy a slice of the best pizza in town, and then go to an amazing Sicilian patisserie. Discover the origins of Jewish ricotta pie in the Jewish Quarter. Re-energize with a cup of authentic Italian coffee, and try a chocolate loved by the locals. Go to a café for one of the best paninis in town, and feast from a platter of meat and cheese typical to Rome Buon Appetito!

10 ‘tastings’ food tour

We had Francesca as our guide. Francesca was very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to spend an afternoon with. We were hungry before starting out but we couldn’t finish everything and came home with a box full of delicious food. A great experience for our family of 2 adults and 2 teens. Would definitely recommend to others interested in trying traditional Roman food.

My guide Margherita took us to the best places to eat and some of them where not crowded because they were places only locals know. My favorite food was the Jewish Ricotta Pie, and If I ever go back to Rome I would go back to find that place again. I recommend this tour and Margherita 100%
