Great for getting around the city on public transport although sometimes hard to work out the buses. We used for entry into the colosseum and the people at the very front managing crowds had no idea what the Roma pass was so took a lot of pleading to get in. Once we got passed them, we were scanned in easily with a designated Roma pass line.

Really good for public transport and getting about the city quickly, especially on the metro and in the heat!! Used it to get tickets for the coliseum as well, which allowed us to skip all queues and walk straight in, Roma pass confirmation is recognised at the front so don’t worry when you don’t have tickets with 2D barcodes. One tip, make sure you know how many days you need it, I ordered it for 72 hours but as we had a day planned in Pisa, we did not need the Roma pass that day, meaning it would have been good enough to order the 48 hour pass.

The Romapass 72h offers advantages: reduction on the visit to the Colosseum and free visit to Castel San Angelo Free public transport but the map of the bus lines is not provided, which is a shame because they crisscross the city The recovery from RomaPas to the information center is folkloric: Italian and English language exclusively without effort to speak slowly, no network to retrieve the barcode on smartphone .. Cold sweats guaranteed
