In the Papal Palaces that house the Museums you’ll see paintings by Giotto, Beato Angelico, Raffaello, Leonardo da Vinci, and Caravaggio, and a vast collection of classic Greek and Roman art. Admire the Apollo Belvedere and Laocoonte, tapestries designed by Raffaello, maps drawn by a 16th-century cartographer that are so precise they could even be used today. Walk through the apartments of the Popes and the spectacular Raphael Rooms.
The journey through time and art culminates with a visit to the Sistine Chapel, the Holy of Holies of the popes, covered with frescoes by Michelangelo and the greatest artists of the 15th century.
