What You'll Do
  • Receive the papal blessing at a public audience with the Holy Father
  • Enjoy a typical Italian meal at a Roman restaurant
  • Journey inside the Catacombs on the ancient Appian Way
  • Walk through the famed Basilica of St. John Lateran
Visit Vatican City to attend a public papal audience and receive the blessing of Pope Francis after a short panoramic tour of Rome. Enjoy lunch at a typical Roman restaurant and then visit the mysterious burial grounds known as the Catacombs.
What to Expect
On this special 8-hour program you’ll attend a papal audience in St. Peter's Square or Nervi Hall. See Pope Francis and listen as he welcomes pilgrims, imparts blessings, and leads the prayers.

You’ll be picked up at your central Rome hotel early in the morning and transferred to Vatican City.

This unique experience includes a short panoramic tour of Via Nazionale, Piazza Venezia, Corso Vittorio, Corso Rinascimento, and the Lungotevere, with a drop off at Piazza dei Tribunali. To reach St. Peter’s Square, your group will walk past Castel Sant’Angelo and along Via della Conciliazione.

You’ll check in at the Square with your guaranteed ticket, and the professional guide will recommend the best place for viewing the ceremony.

After the event you’ll be taken to a typical Roman restaurant nearby to enjoy a meal before continuing your tour with visits to the Basilicas, Catacombs, and ancient streets of Rome. See the Holy Staircase and take a look inside the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the Cathedral of Rome, and St. Mary Major.

Then you’ll head to the ancient Appian Way, past the Chapel of Domine Quo Vadis before arriving at the Catacombs, the ancient and mysterious underground burial site and place of refuge for early Christians.
