What to Expect
Discover the icons of the Roman Empire on a small group tour of no more than 12 people for a more intimate experience, and learn about life in the Roman Republic at some of Rome’s most important monuments.

Start at the Colosseum, originally known as the Flavian Amphitheatre. Built by the emperor Vespasian, and inaugurated in 80 AD, the theatre could seat up to 50,000 spectators, and once held gladiatorial games that could last for 100 days.

Continue to the Roman Forum, and learn how the Roman Republic became so powerful. See the remains of the temples that were at the heart of the Roman Empire’s political and economic life. Pass through the Arch of Titus to reach several temples, including the temple of the Divine Julius Caesar and the temple to Rome’s founder, Romulus.

Make your way to Campidoglio (Capitoline Hill), one of the “7 Hills of Rome,” passing under the white marble Arch of Settimo Severino, built to commemorate the victories of Emperor Septimius Severus and his sons in the 2 campaigns against the Parthians. Admire equestrian statues to Roman emperors, and more.
