Sail to the exotic Dia Island on a large and comfortable catamaran. Choose between daytime or sunset sailing, and enjoy the blue waters with water activities available. Refresh with local drinks and fruits, and enjoy a Mediterranean meal. Begin at the Heraklion Old Venetian Port. Pass by the glorious Koules fortress at the entrance of the marina. A few minutes later, exit the main port of Heraklion and set sail for the destination. Admire the beautiful Cretan Sea and enjoy the feel of sailing our crew will tell you about the legend of Dia Island and its history. Then, arrive at the Bay of Dia. Here, enjoy the crystal turquoise waters and many water activities such as snorkeling, fishing, paddle boarding, and more. While at anchor in the bay, your crew will be happy to offer you equipment for our water activities and serve you plentiful drinks. Next, try a delicious Mediterranean menu on board, including Greek salad and several appetizers, with a main course of shrimp linguini (vegetarian is available upon request). You can also accompany your meal with the finest wine, beer, iced tea, or soft drinks. Finally, to conclude your meal, enjoy a fruit salad of tropical and local fruits. Full Description: Our day begins with a visit to the city’s biggest open air market that is located in the neighborhood of Pateles, a few minutes away from the city center of Heraklion. Walk around the dozens of stands and be greeted by the friendly merchants who offer their products at very good prices and are willing to give you a taste. Shop around like the locals do and try the high quality products of the Cretan soil. Next up is the city center of Heraklion. We will have our stop in the city’s main square, the Liberty square and you will have time to scroll around the city center. Visit Daidalou, the main commercial street, have a cup of coffee in the Lions Square or visit the Archaeological museum of Heraklion and discover the greatness of the Minoan civilization. You can furthermore visit the fortress of Koules, one of the strongest fortresses built by the Venetians that is located in the old port of Heraklion. Admire the Venetian walls of the city while learning about the capital of the island. Our last destination is the Cretaquarium where you can admire various Mediterranean marine species. After the tour, you can have a small break in the aquarium’s bar-restaurant before we head back to your hotels.

Early in the mornisg we will pick you up from your hotel or at the nearest suitable pick up point with one of our air conditioned and comfortable buses so that we lead you at first to Knossos Palace, where for one and a half hour you can explore and admire the most important ruins of the Ancient Minoan civilazation. After our visit to Knossos we will go to the centre of Heraklion city outside the Archaelogical Museum, in case you would like to visit it and admire the treasures of the Ancient times. In Heraklion you will have three and a half hours free time, to enjoy a visit to Lion Square, the Loggia, St.Titus cathedral, Koules fortress, shopping or having a drink or a snack in one of the picturesque little cafe in the alleys of the town. We will meet you again outside the Archaelogical Museum to start our way back to Rethymno city, where our trip will come to an end.
