What People Are Saying About Riviera Maya

Awesome!!! The passion of the guides, the trip the wildlife!!!!!

I had the best guides out of all the tours that I went on in Mexico. They showed such a passion for the environment, the people and the wildlife. I can't say enough.....I will write a review on trip advisor and give the highest praise....I will be back and consider other tours from Get Your Guide in the future!

Pick up was very late yet what a fantastic day!

The day didn't start well, we were informed via email we would be picked up between 7 - 8am. We were extremely disappointed when we called at 8.05 and discovered it had been changed to 8:40 and we hadn't been informed. It ended up though that the day was so fantastic we forget all about the late pick up. Rios our guide was so positive and energetic, he really helped make our day unforgettable. Swimming in underground Cenotes, zip lining above the trees, rappelling into water, a tour of Tulum and the most beautiful beach I've ever been to (even if it was very busy) helped make this a magnificent day. I only wish I could zip-line into water more often, it was incredibly fun! The only other niggle is the prices of pictures they took of you on the day, they were quite extortionate. But other than that this day really does have everything, I would recommend it thoroughly to anyone and everyone, it’s well worth doing! Just make sure you check your pick up time.
Tulum and the Mayan Jungle: Full-Day Tour Reviewed by Arran, 07/03/2014

One of the 'funnest' things I've done in my life!

We LOVED snorkeling at Xel-Ha! Felt like Jack Cousteau exploring all the hidden areas along the "Lazy River". Most people just floated down, but we delighted in the caves and inlets. Could not believe the buffets - some of the most extensive I've ever seen, and the food was good too! The only difficulty we had was that the ticket-taker at Xel-Ha wasn't familiar with the fact that you could have a 'mobile pass' on your phone. She had to get the manager, and they had me forward the email from "get your guide" to them, so they could print it out.

Great day out in one of Riviera Maya's many natural wonders

Combination of jungle and aquatic experiences, Xel-ha's all inclusive ticket offered unlimited access to up to 20 activities and guided tours as well as meals and drinks. A must-do experience for all visitors to the Riviera Maya, especially those content to be shut away in an all-inclusive resort - you're missing out on all that the Riviera has to offer. We were staying in Tulum, which is only 15km away. We arrived at 9.15am to miss the rush of visitors later in the morning, and filled our day so much we didn't leave until closing time at 5.30pm. A great day out.

Tour guide superb, extremely long day, ex'lt Chichen tour, some flaws

The tour is designed to be 8 to 6. We were called late the day before and asked if we would leave at 7:30 am. We agreed. However, we did not expect to return to the hotel at 8:15 pm. A ten hour day was 12 hours 45 minutes. We spent 75 minutes simply picking up people and then were the last of 10 to be dropped off. And, we had to pay $20 for the pick-up. The guide, Patricia, is outstanding! She spoke in english, spanish and french. A testament to her skills and ability to conduct the tour but a bit annoying as we had to listen to everything in 3 languages. The tour should be in one and max 2 languages. The van was comfortable and the refreshments provided good. The tour of Chichen Itza was very good however I would have preferred our guide to give it. Having a second guide was odd and disruptive although he was good. We had 2 people on the tour who returned to the van more than 45 minutes late. There should be a rule if you are more than 10 minutes late the tour leaves. no more room....
