What to Expect
Visit The Tower of London where the magnificent Crown Jewels are housed, founded by William the Conqueror in the eleventh century and located on the north bank of the River Thames. This complex of stone buildings has been a palace, a prison, a zoo, a royal mint and the place of bloody public executions (two of King Henry VIII's wives were beheaded here and it's thought their ghosts still wander the cobbled alleyways of the Tower of London, with their disembodied heads clasped under their arms.
You will then stop for a short walking tour around the imposing 17th century St Paul's Cathedral, where Lady Diana and Prince Charles married in 1981. It was founded by the Romans in 43AD. You will explore this maze of streets and alleyways within London's historical heart and pass by the Bank of England, Mansion House and the Monument to the Great Fire of London, before reaching the River Thames, where you will pause to take-in the breathtaking Tower Bridge, London's most iconic bridge, which uses a hydraulic system to open up in order to allow all vessels to sail beneath her.
The tour will end with a marvelous cruise up the River Thames. This 30 minute journey will allow you to view London Bridge, William Shakespeare's Globe Theater, Millennium Bridge, Waterloo Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye, where you will disembark and and the tour will end.
