What to Expect
Within the city of Rio de Janeiro, you’ll discover natural waterfalls in the middle of Atlantic rainforest. Enjoy the scenic area and the refreshing, clean water of the falls on this 3-hour tour.
The best way to get to the site is by taxi, and then you’ll hike the last 15-20 minutes through the forest. There are a couple of obstacles on the path, no greater problem though, if you are used to hiking. When you reach the opening where the waterfall is located, you’ll find a shower in a natural enclosure that ends in a large pool.
On the way back you’ll walk with your guide through the neighborhood Botanical Garden, close to the garden itself.
The best time to visit the waterfall is from 10:00-13:00 when the sun shines through the opening in the forest canopy. The climate in Rio is relatively warm throughout the year, so you’ll be able to enjoy the refreshing waters whenever you visit.
