Hike Rio’s highest peak and have a wonderful view over most of Tijuca Forest’s landmarks on this 6-hour adventure tour.
What to Expect
Rio’s highest peak, Pico da Tijuca (1022m – 3353ft) is located in the middle of the Tijuca Forest, and overlooks most of the city. Before the hiking, there is a stop by the entrance of the national park to visit a huge, beautiful waterfall.
The track starts at the idyllic Bom Retiro, a place up in the park, and lasts no more than one and a half hours. From there, you will have a wonderful view to most of Tijuca Forest’s landmarks, besides the Maracanã and Engenhão stadiums, Guanabara Bay and lots more.
Marvel at some wonderful views of the gorgeous city of Rio de Janeiro while doing some exercise.
