The Half Day City Bike Tour takes you to numerous natural and historical attractions of Rio de Janeiro. This tour is ideal for those who have limited time.
What to Expect
You start by cycling to the neighborhood of Botafogo from your conveniently located starting point in Copacabana, stopping by Praia Vermelha (Red Beach) and Urca, where you learn more about this area and the significance of Sugarloaf mountain. You then cycle to Botafogo’s beach, and it’s amazing view of the Sugar Loaf Mountain. Stopping for a coconut water with a famous local, you take a few minutes to absorb the beautiful view in front of us. Hydrated and re-energized you cycle South America's largest leisure park, Flamengo’s Park, before biking to Flamengo’s Beach and the Museum of Modern Art.
You then arrive to the historical center of Rio, where you ride through streets, squares and buildings that are all apart of Brazilian history. You pedal to all of the historical attractions such as Candelária’s Church, Tiradentes Square and Imperial House, while presenting all the relevant facts and anecdotes of Brazilian history along the way.
After that, you bike to Lapa, the traditional bohemian district of Rio, largely represented by it’s famous Aqueduct and Selarón Steps (Escadaria Selarón). Then, you bike to Cinelândia, just 1 km away from Lapa to the final point of your tour. As with all of your tours, you end by giving you many of your recommendations for other ways to enjoy Rio such as tips for restaurants, museums, nightlife, football matches and much more.
