Experience Capoeira, the Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music. During a 2-hour class you’ll learn about the history of Capoeira and its game strategy and have the opportunity to practice the moves.
What to Expect
During this 2-hour class you’ll get a brief introduction to the history of Capoeira and learn about its cultural importance and the role played by musical instruments. This is followed by a warm-up, and then a demonstration of the moves and techniques, which you’ll have a chance to try out.
Capoeira is a fight game between 2 people. The moves are done to music and exhibit strategy, dance and acrobatic skills.
This popular Brazilian martial art form involves a spontaneous and spectacular exchange of non-contact attacks and defensive movements, where players try to trick, trip or kick each other.
There is no official winner but players and spectators decide who played the best game.
