What People Are Saying About Rio de Janeiro
Picked up at hotel right on time. Van held about 12 passengers. Great air conditioning. Guide was Steve. He spoke perfect American English to the extent I thought he was from the US. Driver, who complimented Steve excellently, was Marcello who drove safely through unbelievable traffic snarls to get us to each site. They made arrangements to allow our group to bypass long lines for entry into major sites. Were very helpful to those of us with mobility problems Introduced us to unique (for me) restaurant with delicious food and reasonable prices. I can't think of any sight we might have missed through this well planned itinerary. I can't think of a better more knowledgeable guide who could express himself perfectly in my language. FYI, the name of the company, per the side of the van, was Local55.
We were able to see more of Rio's greatest sites in one day than most people do in a week. This tour is for those who do not have a lot of time in the city but would like to cover a lot of ground. I am an active adventurous person so the climbing from place to place was a great balance amongst the driving portions of the tour. Edmundo was a helpful and informative guide who was more than willing to answer all of our questions and offer a complete picture of his city. Do bring a snack or be prepared to buy one as lunch comes quite late in the day.
Great tour. Was picked up on time and picked up other people along the way. Rest of people were nice. Good informative tour. Tour guide Steve was great, perfect english, managed to get to all places even with the madness of the carnival and people everywhere it added to the tour. :)
This was probably one of the most fun tours I've taken in awhile. The group itself was excellent - we had a small group of under 15 and we were fortunate to end up making friends that we ended up hanging out with throughout the duration of our time in Brazil. Our tour guide (Wellington) was fun, engaging and very knowledgeable. He and the driver stuck to the overall plan but they gave us a lot of extra time to stop in cool places to take pictures and let us enjoy each other's company.
Had an excellent tour of Rio today. Our guide, Lucia was wonderful. Not only was she multilingual, bouncing between English, German and Italian, she was extraordinarily knowledgeable about the city. I would recommend this tour as it covered many parts of this beautiful city that I would have not had a chance to see.
