Experience 2 popular ancient sites on Rhodes, spending a half-day or full-day exploring Lindos Village and Rhodes Medieval Town. See the Acropolis of Lindos perched on a hill above the town. Tour the Palace of the Grand Master on the full-day option.
What to Expect
Take a 45-minute drive along the eastern coast of Rhodes to the village of Lindos, one of the 3 ancient cities on the island. Enjoy the views of the lovely Bay of Lindos on this half-day or full-day tour.
Marvel at the clear blue sky, crystal-clear water, and the dazzlingly white traditional houses. See the Acropolis perched atop the mountain, and enjoy spectacular views of St. Paul’s Bay. Take a stroll through the labyrinthine streets of the village and admire the beauty of traditional island architecture.
For the second part of this private tour, you’ll head to northernmost part of Rhodes, for a tour of Rhodes town.
From Monte Smith hill, you’ll have picturesque views of the city and the seacoast. Visit the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the impressive ancient open-air stadium, and the amphitheater.
Enter the gates of the medieval city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk along the alleyways next to gigantic walls, and through the town squares. Visit the archaeological museum, and on the full-day option, you’ll tour the impressive Palace of the Grand Master.
Take some of your free time to browse the small shops offering handmade jewelry, quality leather products, handcrafted ceramics, carpets, wooden handicrafts, and casual clothing. If you’d rather, just sit back and relax at one of the many cafés and sip on an ice-cold frappe.
