Full description

Come aboard a luxurious yacht and see the incredible wealth of marine wildlife that lives in the waters just off the shores of Reykjavík City. See some of Iceland's majestic whales, dolphins, and porpoises on this small-group whale watching tour.

Your ship sets sail from Reykjavík's Old Harbor and sails among the small islands in the Faxaflói Bay, as well as along the coast of Reykjavík, providing you with fantastic views of the city as you search for the wildlife in the water.

Spot minke and humpback whales, dolphins, and porpoises. If you're lucky, you may even see a few orcas (also known as killer whales) as well as a wealth of other species.

Make the most of three panoramic deck areas aboard the luxury yacht, moving about the decks to get the best views and take advantage of great photo opportunities. The decks are also partially covered, providing some shelter from wind and rain.

The professional team on board the Amelia Rose is very experienced in spotting whales and is dedicated to making sure you leave with a smile.

And the limited number of visitors on this small-group tour means that the decks won't be overcrowded either, so you'll enjoy a more personal, meaningful, and memorable experience.

Amelia Rose is designed as an offshore vessel, making it better adapted to take on the turbulent waves of Iceland's waters, resulting in a smoother sail with less probability of passengers experiencing nausea or seasickness.

The crew was lovely, they emailed to change the time of our trip due to bad weather coming in. Instead of a afternoon trip, we went morning instead. The captain took us out where the whales had been last spotted and we got to see three humpbacks, it was an amazing experience. The sea was quite choppy on the way back, I would definitely recommend booking for the experience of seeing the whales.

Unfortunately we didn't get to see any whales but it didn't stop us from enjoying the tour. The crew were amazing and being on a boat tour with only a small group was so enjoyable. The only reason we weren't able to see whales was due to a weather warning however the tour was still so fun. And seeing Reykjavík early in the morning from a yacht was absolutely fab! Due to not seeing any whales we were given a full refund but we cannot wait to make another trip to Iceland to do the tour again and we will definitely book with the same people because of how relaxing it was! Speaking to other tourists they did get to see whales even though its out of season, we just didn't get lucky on our day!

Staff is helpful and of great character. The boat is beautiful and for the price you cant really beat it. Only thing was the whales (We visited when it wasnt a perfect time for whale watching) was a little far away. BRING WARM CLOTHES AND LAYER IT! Jeans with long underwear still left me cold and you wanna be outside on the boat as much as possible!
