  • Go to the waterfall of Svartifoss
  • Visit the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur
  • Travel through the stunning landscapes of Iceland's south coast
See the highlights of Iceland’s south coast on a 14-hour tour from Reykjavik. Go to the Glacier Lagoon at Jökulsárlón to marvel at an outlet of Europe’s largest glacier. Feel the bracing spray of the cascades at Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls.
What to Expect
Explore the volcanic and glacial landscapes of Iceland’s magical south coast on a full-day sightseeing tour from Reykjavik. Go to the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon to see an outlet of the largest glacier in Europe. Travel in a small group for a more intimate experience, and cross the lagoon by boat in the summer months.

Following a pick-up from your hotel in Reykjavik, transfer to the charming village of Vík, Iceland’s southernmost settlement. Marvel at the black sand beach and famous sea stacks. Continue east through the lava fields and black sandy desert. Travel to the magnificent Glacier Lagoon at Jökulsárlón. Here, you will have the option to take a boat ride amongst the icebergs (excluding winter months). Choose between a fast zodiac boat or amphibian boat.

Go to the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur, stopping to admire beautiful waterfalls along the way. Then, drive to Skaftafell National Park to stop at the visitor center and learn more about the region. Take a short hike (optional) to Svartifoss Waterfall, and see the waterfall cascade down stacks of basalt columns.

Travel back towards Reykjavik, keeping a look out for the eternal kiss of an Icelandic troll! Enter a serene and beautiful area as you reach the 100-meter deep Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon. The tour is subject to change if road or weather conditions are unfavorable and, due to fewer daylight hours between November and February, much of the driving may be in darkness. However, rest assured that your time at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon will be in daylight
