Full description
Iceland's Geldingadalur Valley now had multiple craters erupting for the first time in 7000 years, the Fagradalsfjall Volcano crater being the most active. Start with a pickup in Reykjavík before heading on a scenic drive surrounded by breathtaking views. The first stop is Lake Kleifarvatn, where you will enjoy scenes of the black beach and surrounding mountains. Next, get your hiking gear on and hike towards Geldingadalur Valley to see live volcanic activity coming from Fagradalsfjall Volcano. You will be able to enjoy your packed lunch on the hike while seeing lava flowing from the volcano. After, drive by the Reykjanes Peninsula, where the volcanos of the past have created land formations now covered by soft green lava moss. You'll then get to see and feel the Gunnuhver Hot Springs, where boiling waters and steam will reignite your senses. Only a 5-minute drive from there, you'll stop by the photogenic Reykjanes Lighthouse and the Valhnúkamöl Boulder Ridge to admire the cliffs and sea stacks formed by the Atlantic Ocean. The last stop before heading back to Reykjavík is the Bridge Between Continents where earthquakes have made a rift between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. It's a fun photo opportunity and a chance to walk between the continents.

Incredible experience in the eruption zone, even seeing the smoke coming out from the cooling of the lava. Although we did not see lava flow, it was a highly recommended experience, our guide was very polite, very explicit in everything we asked him. In addition to all the other places we visit during the Tours. Punctuality and responsibility. 1000% recommended

In general, everything is fine, but: 1) We went in December and in the morning, when it was still dark, there was a stop at the geysers - which were not visible at all, we just walked in the dark, I think it’s worth optimizing the time 2) there is no wi fi on the bus 3) the guide stopped by for lunch in a restaurant, those who took food with them stayed on the bus to wait for the rest from the cafe, without Wi-Fi and in the cold, the bus was left with open doors

The guide Thommi was brilliant, took us to extra places not on the tour and really looked after us, got to see the real Iceland with all its natural power and beauty. Brilliant tour, at the end of the tour Thommi gave us each a piece of volcanic rock. Thommi your a blues playing Icelandic legend!
