Really interesting place filled with informative boards, displays, models and interactive things for both adults and children. The building is very clean and flows nicely between exhibits. The ice cave is great (remember your coat!) and the observation deck allows you to have a unique view of the city - got some fantastic photos here. Feel free to get the bus to Perlan but it is within walking distance from the city centre. Most staff were super friendly and helpful however there was one that brought down the experience. That's my only negative.
I enjoyed the exhibitions and found it really informative and interesting. However, would be nice to know that they offered a student discount, and that there are separate tickets for ice cave and aurora lights, before I made my booking. Also, would be nice if Perlan can consider putting a few chairs in the waiting area for the shuttle bus, or making the shuttle bus timings more regular, because we had to spend a really long time standing and waiting for the shuttle bus.
It was very informative with the storytelling of the history of Iceland and some of it was interactive with videos and buttons to press for further information. I really liked the ice cave that was a novelty as it was quite life like so now I don't need to go to the to see the real thing. Lastly the Planetarium was interesting enough specifically the part with the northern lights but this was separate and could have been included in the admission fee.
Really impressive to see the real life size models of the different kinds of whales that venture in Iceland’s waters. Fun and educational. Adults and children will both enjoy
We enjoyed learning about the formation of Iceland and the Northern Lights film was appreciated- especially as we did not see it in real life because of clouds.
