After the initial confusion over pick up points (no pick up details were sent to us but it may have been due to us booking this the day before the tour) it was a fun and enjoyable tour. Gunni was an excellent guide with plenty of stories and anecdotes which made the trip even more enjoyable. Snowmobiling was the best part of the trip although the Secret Lagoon was a great experience too (better than the blue lagoon for us). Just a shame we couldn’t explore the ice caves due to bad weather which we were very much looking forward to. Awesome wheels too in a pimped up Mercedes Sprinter!
If you’re looking for something different to do in Iceland and would like to go off the beaten track, we really recommend this mythical walk. Snædís was our host and she really brought the stories to life and made the tour fun. This is not only a great way to hear some stories past down for many generations, but an interesting look into the Icelandic way of thinking and how the stories affect current day practices. After all, Icelanders are famous for their story telling ever since the Viking times.
Fantastic experience and really enjoyable. Unfortunately we were unable to experience the ice cave due to flooding however the snowmobiling and hot spring more than made up for it.
Yngvi is a really friendly and responsible tour guide! Everything is well organised and we enjoyed the trip very much. He took care of us and we had a lot of fun.
Excellent tour with very funny and interesting tour guide. Definitely recommended..
