What to Expect
Escape the hustle and bustle of Reykjavik for the day and discover the highest hot springs in Europe. Travel across the west coast to see the stunning fjords of Hvalfjörður and Borgarfjörður, and enter a breathtaking cave.
First, you will get up-close to the bubbling waters of Deildartunguhver, Iceland’s highest flowing thermal spring. Next, see the icy cold cascades of the Hraunfossar waterfall as it runs through the region’s lava fields.
Enter the cave of Viðgelmir (entrance fee included), and then discover a British and American settlement from World War II at Hvalfjörður. The stunning fjord at Hvalfjörður is also home to an old whaling factory, providing a glimpse into Iceland’s whale hunting past. Marvel at old whaling boats, and look out for the many sea birds that nest along the coast.
Then, transfer back to Reykjavik for the end of the tour services.
