We changed our booking for a day later as there was no chance of seeing the lights the first night as it was was very cloudy! The second night was fab clear skies, we were taken to the National Park by coach which is quite high up in the hills! The starry sky was amazing and we did see the Aurora Borealis but only a short gentle light show could be seen! Still we saw them so that was a tick for my bucket list! Guide was good but a bit monotone in her voice! As it was night time it would have been better with a livelier presentation!

Booked on the trip the first night we got to Iceland. It was cancelled & the cancellation email had gone into my junk folder so check there before you go as we walked for 20 mins to be turned away. Back the next night without any messing they just moved the ticket from the night before. Herded onto a large bus with lots of others but was comfortable & warm & tour guide Freda was brilliant, funny, knowledgeable & I think more excited than we were. Drove for an hour & the driving was a little scary in parts but got there in one piece & lights were fantastic. Then they did lots of drop offs on the way back. Thoroughly worth every penny but I think you can book on smaller group tours which I would do if doing it again. Oh & it was -16 whilst we were there so much colder than Reykjavik. Take all the clothes you own & as thick soled shoes you can!!

After 1.5 hours it got really fresh and we drove again. It is a shame that there was no option to choose the hotel when booking. At the end we dropped off all of the passengers at their hotels, only we had to stay until the end because the car was parked at the terminal ...
