Reykjadalur is a geothermal area as the name implies and a popular hiking route only about 40 minutes drive from Reykjavik. Not only will you get a lovely hiking day but you can dip into one of the warm rivers that run in the valley. You will be picked up at your hotel or nearest bus stop and driven to the valley. Then you will hike through the geothermal area and end up by the warm river where you can have a swim. This is a unique experience as you can relax there quietly with the nature surrounding you. Note that there is no dressing room or showers, only pure nature for you to enjoy.
