What people are saying about Rethymno

Fantastic experience. The gorge is demanding so truly worth it. There are steep steps down for the first 2-3km but the views in the early morning sunshine are extraordinary. Then the hike through the gorge and another 2km to get to Agia Roumeli to eat a late lunch. There are no defined paths and you are walking on fallen boulders to bring adequate shoes, sun cream and water. There are plenty of places to refill your water. Then we got the ferry out from the village and the coach back. It really makes it a convenient way to trek the gorge and barely any more money than by public transport. It’s a long day so be prepared

This was an amazing adventure. Some people were hiking with sandalas, but you must have a good sneakers or shoes. It wasn't so hard as some people would say. So grab a pair of sunglases, 2 or 3 bottles of water and prepared for an amazing hike, which mister Bilbo Baggins would appreciate so much. P.S. You should know, that in a second part of a hike you will not find so much spots to fill water bottles, so beware.

It was awesome!!! It was such a nice experience and everything was so beautiful. You should wear boots with some grip because rocks can be slipery. Our guide Silvia was really helpful and had some fun facts for us. I would definetely go to Samaria again.

A wonderful excursion and excellent way to see the island. Loved the stops we made and the professional photos were a nice touch.

Nikos is the best guide you’ll ever meet. Very friendly, true adventurer, you’ll love the tour.
