The tour to Mt Vesuvius, Pompeii, and the winery were a perfect mix of guided and self tours. Our driver, Tony, was so friendly and professional. The hike up Mt Vesuvius was a bit challenging, but worth the effort! Dress warm for this part. Our tour guide at Pompeii, Francesca, was the best! Full of knowledge and so funny. She kept us laughing the whole time. The winery was a perfect ending to the day. We enjoyed 3 different varieties of wine along with food pairings, and had a brief tour of the vineyard. There are 2 very friendly dogs on the property, which were the icing on the cake. It’s a long day, and a lot of driving along winding roads, so I recommend bringing some snacks, water, and some motion sickness meds if you get car sick.
