The guide from the service was just ok. She spoke English and was nice but was quiet mostly the entire bus ride and admitted to knowing nothing about wine. The people at the two places we did wine tours were super nice and knowledgeable. Both in beautiful places. The town we went to was nice but also there was one we passed much closer to Florence that would have cut out a lot of driving. Most of the experience was driving.
All the guests will be welcomed at the estate and brought to the roof of the cellar to see the most breathtaking views of the rolling hills at 600 meters above sea level. Here one of the passionate members of the team will provide an introduction to a history of the estate and a small general explanation of what guests will see and what they will be doing in the next one and a half hours of their time. Clients will be able to visit one of the vineyards followed by an explanation of the working process and of organic agriculture with some additional biodynamic techniqes that are often used and practised at the estate. If the weather permits, guests would be offered a glass of sparkling wine or a fresh wine of their choice at the small adjecent terrace built under an oak tree. The tour will then take everyone to a visit through the gardens of the villa and include a visit of the vegetabl...
Good value for money. The guide spoke good English, and explained their vision and wine making process very well. We were able to taste a lot of different wines with a platter of cheese/cold cuts
Starting in the center of Florence, your English-speaking driver will take you on a scenic drive straight into the heart of Chianti. You will drive along the ancient Roman road “Cassia Vetus”, surrounded by rolling hills with breathtaking views over vineyards and olive groves. Your first stop will be the Medieval village of Greve, which is the birthplace of Giovanni da Verrazzano, the Florentine traveler who discovered the Hudson Bay in the 15th century. Next you will visit the superb hilltop hamlet named Montefioralle. Strolling through the narrow streets, you might be surprised to discover that this stone village has been perfectly preserved since the 12th century. You can admire breathtaking panoramas and discover anecdotes and secrets related to the “Black Rooster”, the emblem of the Chianti Classico. You will experience a genuine, family run, wine estate with medieval cellars wher...
Amazing day tour with our guide Gilberto who was knowledgable, friendly and took very good care of us. We had a private tour as we were the only couple and that made it really special. Lunch was amazing with the most gorgeous views. Wine tasting was fabulous.
