This fantastic resort town is one of the most desirable places to visit in New Zealand. Here, any traveler will be satisfied with the great outdoors, culture and a good night life!

Lake Hayes

Really one of the most beautiful lakes on the planet. On a sunny day, a trip here will not be forgotten.

Skippers Canyon

This historic and scenic gorge was once home to New Zealand's richest gold-bearing river, the Shotover River. The river still exists, of course, but the gold is no more.

This is a fantastic backpacking track for tourists and is accessible all year round.

The Remarkables

These mountains are visible from Queenstown, and are worth heading to for walking or other adventure activities.

Lake Wakatipu

New Zealand's third largest lake, and at the feet of The Remarkables, the views here are breathtaking.

Routeburn Track

Another great backpacking track, popular with tourists - why not book onto a guided trip?

Fiordland National Park

This national park is truly remarkable, and a great place to visit when in the region.

Lake Wanaka

Another lake worth visiting, with plenty to see and do for tourists.

Well looked after with experienced coach guide.

All our needs were catered for and he fully explained why had to take extra passengers on the coach on the return journey. He is a good front for the company

Southern Discovery does a great job to show and teach what you expect

The tour to and from Milford sound from Queenstown is breathtaking. I took hundreds of pictures. Southern Discovery provided a shuttle service from the hotel to the bus before the tour and from the bus to the hotel after the tour. The bus was new, had windows on the roof and USB to recharge your Smartphone on the 13 hours tour. The driver Mike did an exceptional job : very safety conscious, clear instructions and varied teaching all the way to Milford sound (300 km to drive from Queenstown). This tour was definitively a highlight of my stay in New Zealand.

AMAZING, especially the plane ride with the views...

We went to Queenstown mainly to do the plane tour and the cruise on Milford Sound. We were quite lucky since the weather and some last minute changes allowed us to achieve our goal. The views are amazing and this is a must do.

Saw places that we never would have on foot or by car!

I booked the tour for my parents (in their 60s) who LOVED it - they were lucky with the weather being sunny though cold, and said it was a very scenic and unique way of seeing the area.
