This was a wonderful trip! The boat ride was fun, the pilot had us in the wheel house to tell us about the cruise in English. Only a handful of us so I got to sit in his chair! The Canadian Park Service gave an outstanding tour of the island. Telling us history of the potato famine in Ireland, the immigrants, the quarantine station and how garments were disinfected, who the employees of the station were and much more. Our guide was wonderful and it was a most worthwhile activity when you visit Quebec!
I understand that the tour was in Quebec. I understand that there would be more French than English spoken on the boat. However, it was FAR more French. I would not recommend this to my English-speaking friends.
A very moving experience. The guides did a great job recreating the way it was for the immigrants coming into Canada.
Alex was an amazing guide! He was energetic and very informative. And made a great ham and cheese sandwich!!
Really like the place visited and the guide was patient and polite. Enjoyed it ti the fullest.
