Great trip and definitely a must do when visiting Dominican Republic. The bus taking us was initially too full so the company arranged a private taxi for us to join the tour at the boat port which was great as saved us having to pick up and drop off at other hotels. Alex the guide was very informative and genuinely cared about everyone having a good time. As for Saona island all I can say is it’s breathtaking- we got 2.5 hours in total on the island which was just enough time for us and the BBQ buffet lunch included was nice as well as local spirits/beer and soft drinks all included. We also really enjoyed the catamaran cruise on the way back and the staff were fantastic at getting everyone up dancing to traditional music and was so much fun.

Benefit from the services of a guide, ride a speed boat and catamaran, and feast on a buffet lunch including drinks. Begin the tour by boarding a speedboat and jetting off to Saona Island. On the way, stop to swim in a waist-deep natural swimming pool with transparent waters. If you're lucky you'll see some starfish. When you arrive at Isla Saona, you'll have many activities to choose from. Wade in the turquoise waters, visit the open bar, take a nap on a beach lounge chair, walk along the coastline, or play volleyball. Indulge in a typical Dominican lunch of chicken, pork, rice, beans, salad, and fruit. You can even enjoy lobster and premium drinks when you book the VIP option.
