Day 1: Puno – Uros Island – Amantaní After pickup and a transfer to the main port, take a boat ride to Uros Island. Fishermen and hunters inhabit this floating island built of totora, an aquatic plant that grows on the surface of the lake. Learn how the totora is woven and laid and layered to build the surface of each island. As an optional activity, it is possible to make a journey in a boat called "balsa de totora", a traditional form of aquatic transport also made from the reeds.  Then, continue to Amantani Island. Upon arrival, a local family will take you to their home. A traditional lunch will be prepared by the locals with products from the area. Next, visit the famous pre-Inca Pachatata temple. At dusk, hike to the top of the island at 4130m, from where you will be able to observe the sunset over Lake Titicaca. Dinner and overnight at the local family's house on Amantani Island. Day 2: Amantaní – Taquile – Puno After breakfast, head to Taquile Island, famous for its handicraft production and beautiful textiles. Locals even wear a special hat to signify if they are single, married, or in a position of authority. Explore local temples, tombs and terraces from the pre-Inca era, as well as learning about traditional farming techniques and the island's ancient customs. Lunch is not included here, Then return to Puno and be transferred back to your hotel.

Get picked up at the meeting point in Arequipa at 3:15 a.m. and take a three-hour bus ride through southern Peru to the village of Chivay at more than 3,000 meters above sea level. Stop for a delicious breakfast of bread with butter and jam, juice and coffee or tea. At more than 3000 meters above sea level we will stop for a succulent breakfast consisting of bread with butter and jam, juice and coffee or tea. Delicious! With our batteries recharged, we will head towards the Cruz del Condor viewpoint. From here you will be able to admire the Colca Canyon in all its splendor. Did you know that it is one of the deepest canyons in the world? In addition, we will see the occasional condor, as this area is perfect for the flight of this species of bird. We will leave the viewpoint and continue the route visiting other villages and viewpoints of the Colca Canyon as Wayrapunko or Antahuillque. Around 11:30 a.m. we will head to the thermal baths of Chacapi, where you will spend an hour enjoying its natural pools. After this dip, we will return to Chivay, where you will have free time to have lunch on your own. Finally, we will meet again and head for Puno, our final destination. During the six-hour drive, we will make stops to stretch our legs at the Patapampa viewpoint, from where you will be able to admire the majesty of the Ampato and Sabancaya volcanoes. We will also stop at the Salinas Reserve and Lagunillas, to see if we are lucky enough to get a close look at some of the herds of camelids or flocks of wild birds that inhabit these areas. We will finish the excursion at the Puno Terminal at approximately 7:30 pm.
