Take a walk through the impressive site, ascending 200 steep steps to reach the caves, excavated thousands of years ago from a hillside in the Western Ghats in Maharashtra. The rock–cut shrines were developed for Buddhist monks to use during the monsoons. They feature chaityas (prayer halls) with intricate carvings, the largest of the halls measures 148 feet and was created in the 1st century B.C. After exploring the caves, take a break to purchase lunch at a restaurant of your choice. Then head to the Bhaja caves, another religious site near the Karla Caves. At the end of a full day, drive back to your Mumbai hotel where your tour ends with hotel drop off.

I will give you information about the tour for that day, and you will meet the driver and leave in the car. After that, we left for Aurangabad. Aurangabad is at a distance of 220 km from Pune. It is a 4-hour journey. After reaching Aurangabad, you will be freshened up at the hotel, and after that, you will do a local city tour in which you will go sightseeing at Bibi Ka Maqbra Watermill and then stay back at the hotel. Day 2: Aurangabad to Ajanta Caves to Aurangabad After breakfast at the hotel, our guide or driver will report you to the hotel lobby. From Aurangabad, we drove through Ajanta, a 100-kilometer, 2-hour journey from Aurangabad (a Unesco cultural heritage site). From the 2nd century BC to the 5th century AD, the valley was inhabited by Buddhists. After the sightseeing is over, you can also stop for lunch, we will show you a nice restaurant. Then, later, we will come to Aurangabad, and you can stay at your hotel. Day 3: Aurangabad to Ellora Caves to Daulatabad Fort to Pune After breakfast at the hotel, our guide or driver will report you to the hotel lobby. Then we drive to Ellora, a 30-kilometer, 1-hour journey from Aurangabad, followed by sightseeing at the Ellora Caves, exploring one of the largest single monolithic rock excavations in the world. After the sightseeing is over, you can have lunch if you want, and later the tour will start at Ghirshneshwar temple. After Darshan Temple, drive to Daultabad Fort, and after that, drive to Pune. After sightseeing, you are free to select your own destination for the onward journey; simply inform us where to drop you off, including the airport, train station, bus station, or hotel in Pune.
