What to Expect
Day 1: Arrival in Poreč

Arrive in Poreč and meet us at our office (a map with location of our office will be sent to you). Here we will provide you with a package including hotel vouchers, a bicycle with all the necessary equipment, maps and a road book. We will then transfer your from Poreč to your accommodation in Buje for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Momjan Muscat Trail - 38 km/23 miles

After breakfast, we will head off on our bikes to take in the breathtaking landscape of terraced vineyards that will bring up images of Tuscany. Enjoy the unique sensation of the Buje area, offering an amazing polyphony of fragrances and tastes.

Once we have taken a walk along the paved streets of the old centre of Buje, we will continue downhill and follow the trail leading through Bibali, Krug and Smilovici. We will then reach Momjan, a magnificent village featuring the impressive ruins of a medieval citadel built on a large rock. Later, visit one of area’s most popular wine cellars and take the opportunity to taste the world's best Muscat. Overnight in Buje area.

Day 3: Parenzana Trail - 68 km / 42 miles

After breakfast we will start biking on the legendary route of the Parenzana, the former narrow-gauge railway line that runs deep into the Istrian peninsula. Pass through several tunnels, over old bridges and stop at plenty of wonderful lookout points.

Biking through the charming medieval town of Grožnjan to Vižinada along the way, we will finally reach Poreč, a town with reminders of great culture at every step. Ride along the old city center and to find the Roman Forum, once a fortified Roman camp, as well as magnificent palaces and the famous Euphrasian Basilica (Euphrasiana) a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight in Poreč area.

Day 4: Trail of the Istrian Malvasia - 59 km / 36 miles

Today’s trail is especially exciting because we will ride along the coastline, featuring beautiful bays where you can enjoy the breathtaking Mediterranean landscape with green vineyards and olive groves. You’ll also have a chance to taste the homemade food, wine, brandy and honey produced in this area.

Continuing along the trail, you will reach Višnjan, a village that boasts an observatory ranked among the 5 most important in the world. Once you have found your guiding star, or you’ve refreshed yourself with a glass of delicious home made wine, we will continue our ride towards Poreč, where our adventure began. Overnight in Poreč area.

Day 5: Trail of Captain Morgan - 60 km / 37 miles

A marsh, rare birds, a cursed city, buried pirate treasures, a fjord, a cave with a primitive man and hermit, and an ancient solar observatory – you can find all this on our Captain Morgan bike trail. After breakfast and riding along the coastline, we will reach Vrsar, a romantic fishing village where the famous Casanova was said to have visited twice.

Our bike ride continues through the magical forest of Kontija, with panoramic views of the beautiful Lim Fjord and the medieval ruins of Dvigrad. Passing Kanfanar and the hill Maklavun, an astral-archaeological site, we will finish the day in Rovinj.

Also known as little Venice, Rovinj is a typical and beautiful Mediterranean seaside resort town. In the dense winding streets of the old city, there are plenty of magnificent palaces from different historical eras; today, most of them host a gallery or an art studio. Follow the chimneys of Rovinj and the narrow passageways, and you will come to the baroque church of St Eufemia, the greatest monument in the city, offering you more magnificent views of the Mediterranean. Overnight in Rovinj area.

Day 6: Brijuni Rivera Trail - 50 km / 31 miles

After breakfast we will start riding along the coastline towards Pula. Riding through the natural reserve of Palud, with a rich variety of flora and fauna, we will reach Fažana, Situated on a low coast, well protected from the open sea by the enchanting Brijuni archipelago, and surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, Fažana was already well known for its beauty in ancient Roman times.

From there, we will continue on to the largest city in Istria, majestic Pula. Pula is an enchanting city that has been casting spells on its visitors for centuries. We will finish the day with a visit to the old city, featuring the Sergius' Triumphal Arch (daying from the end of the 1st century B.C. and the beginning of the 1st century A.D.) and the famous arena, a Roman amphitheater (from the 1st century BC). Overnight in Pula area.

Day 7: Orchids Trail - 50 km

Today we’ll start our last biking tour along the vast coastline to Cape Kamenjak, with numerous gulfs, bays and white sandy beaches washed by crystal clear blue-green waters. We will then reach the ancient town of Mutila, nowadays Medulin.

Along the way, keep your eyes open for 22 different types of orchids, including the endangered species "Serapias Istriaca" (the Istrian orchid). Then, see the so-called "islet plate", where a dinosaur's footprint has been preserved, or admire the remains of a luxurious Roman villae rusticae. Overnight in Pula area.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast you will be transferred to Poreč, where the tour will end.
