What to Expect
Visit the Kingdom of Railways in Prague and experience a fascinating exhibition suitable for all ages. One of the most interesting projects in the city is located in the Anděl City shopping center in Prague’s Smíchov district. The first 115-square-meter model railway track was opened on 3,500 square meters across 3 floors in 2009.
Discover famous places in the Czech Republic, like a moving parking lot and many other technical features. Look through miniature cameras at locomotives driving through a miniature landscape, as if you were sitting in the train itself. Admire the illuminated cities at regular day and night cycles, and see Ještěd Mountain, Karlštejn Castle, and Prague Castle.
Learn more about the history of the railways at the permanent exhibition and take a look at the special education program for school groups. The track system is being gradually expanded in segments, with new segments added every 3 months with the goal of creating a model landscape of the entire Czech Republic. It will be the largest model railway in Central and Eastern Europe, spanning an estimated 1,015 square meters.
