Great - ran like clockwork, tour guide was excellent, and wealth of information. Highly recommend as would have been totally lost at Castle if I had DIY. She was clear what was included in the tour and where she recommended we visit in our spare time if we wanted to. Booked on the morning of 1:15pm tour (I landed into Prague at 9:45am) with no issue. It was super helpful going on the tram with her (part of the tour as who wants to walk up a hill if you don’t have to) as we could see how public transportation worked - especially the part about validating the transportation ticket and how to buy it.

The meeting point was easy to find at it was at the Charles Bridge. We then walked along the bridge to a tram point, the cost of this fare was included in the booking. In the bridge Costa provided a lot of information into its history and how it came to be with the statues etc. Upon arriving at the Castle, it was clear Costa knew an awful lot about the various parts. He was funny and entertaining, he answered any questions asked and ensured he addressed all the group as he enlightened us with many tales about Prague’s past Royalty. The tour was worth the money paid, Costa was well informed and we felt lucky to have him as our guide. I would highly recommend booking this tour.

Cross Charles Bridge and make your way to Lesser Town Square, where a tram will take you to the Castle. When you enter St. Vitus Cathedral, hear stories about princes, kings, and emperors, and the ceremonial history of the site. Tour the old castle, Vladislav Hall, and then head to St. George's Basilica, where your guide will tell you about Czech saints. Visit the area known Golden Lane, where your guide will tell you about the lives of the local residents.

The first 45 mins of the tour covered the history of the bridge and the Old Town along with the Lesser Town history. The guide was very knowledgeable but most of this had been covered by other tours which most of the participants of our tour had experienced. We would have appreciated more time in the castle with the tour guide finding out more of the history etc. as the castle complex is wonderful and definitely worth visiting.
