Overview
Discover the flavors of the Czech Republic on a 4-hour beer and tapas tasting tour of Prague's finest beer halls, and learn about the city’s beer drinking traditions. Visit 4 traditional beer halls and sample 5 beers and 4 typical “beer tapas.”
What to Expect
Join like-minded beer connoisseurs on a beer and food tour of Prague’s most reputable beer sanctuaries, led by a local guide along the central tram and metro lines of the city center. You will visit 4 beer halls to sample 5 beers (0.3 liters) and 4 typical “beer tapas.” Along the way, hear stories about the country’s history, from the Middle Ages through Communism to the present day.
Head to a favourite local beer hall in Zizkov, a former industrial suburb that has become the epicentre of Prague's rough-and-tumble nightlife. This #localsknow area is home to the most pubs of any other Prague district — more than 300 in just five square kilometres!
Choose from 10 kinds of beer, from the most famous Czech brands to lesser-known brews from small Czech microbreweries. Pair your beer with hearty pork chili, served with horseradish and mustard. Surrounded by walls adorned with pictures of the Communist Czech presidents, you'll hear stories about life under Communism as you enjoy your beer.
Next up, hop on the tram to the Vinohrady district to discover one of the city’s hidden beer hall gems off the usual tourist path, here, 27 different microbrewery beers are served up, alongside typical snacks such as pickled sausage.

The next stop will be at you and your guide's discretion, depending on the season and what's happening in the city. As local experts, the guides always have their fingers on the pulse of what's hot and what’s not.

Take the metro back to the Old Town to visit the pub where the 1st Pilsner Urquell draught beer was served in 1843. Sample this most famous of Czech beers, and learn why it’s stored in a tank rather than a keg for better taste. It’s hard to find this kind of beer outside of the Czech Republic!

Your guide will keep you entertained with beer-related stories in the former church-turned-pub, as you sample smoked pork neck, homemade potato pancakes and Bohemian-style white cabbage.

End your tour in a new brewery pub near Old Town Square, and raise a glass to your new beer drinking buddies. As Prague has too many beer halls to fit into one tour, you will be given a map of the city’s best to help you continue your beer adventures on your own.
