Explore a vast forested region, with rocky valleys, narrow passes, or a micro-brewery from the 16th century a mere 15 minutes from the very center of Prague.
What to Expect
The one-day cycling tour begins with a ride through a narrow rocky canyon, on an asphalt path around the Šarka stream. Pass by the old-time Čertův mlýn (tr. Devil’s mill) and continue to the municipality of Horoměřice, dominated by a one-floor castle with the Chapel of St. Anne.
Change direction here and turn to the valley of the Unětice stream, along which you will continue to the municipality of Unětice, through to the microbrewery of the same name, where you will stop for a bit of refreshments.
The mighty ruins of Okoř Castle are just a few more easy kilometres away from here. Lunch at a local restaurant near the castle ruins awaits you after the tour. Liven up the way back over the rolling stretches of land with a stop in the city district of Prague 6 - Přední Kopanina, where a beautiful Romanesque church with the rotunda of St. Mary Magdalene can be found.
Finish the 40 km long circuit in the late afternoon, in the same place from which you set off.
