Join this Prague tour that takes you to all the city's bohemian spots. Bohemia is a Czech state with one of the most distinct cultures in Europe - extravagant, political, passionate, and fueled with Czech Water.
What to Expect
The Bohemia tour of Prague starts, appropriately, at the statue of the Duke of Bohemia. Throughout the tour, you'll learn about various elements of Prague, such as architecture, art, and politics.

You'll begin your Prague tour by hearing how a chain-smoking Bohemian dissident championed liberation from Communist rule and led the nation
to freedom. Even with freedom, though, some things never change, and you'll find out exactly what those are in a favorite local passageway full of old-world magic and subtle modern-day resistance in the form of provocative sculptures and graffiti.

Kicking off the sampling aspect of the tour, your first taste of Prague will be the best of the daily fresh specials offered in the passage of densely-populated specialty food and pastry shops.

Next, in Bohemian Prague, you'll pass by the oldest pub in Prague that has been serving the most famous Czech beer, Pilsner Urquell, since 1843. Then,
you'll see the former Communist Secret Police department, where dissidents such as Vaclav Havel were interrogated. Before crossing the river to the Kampa Island, the home of the city's modern art and Bohemian artists, you'll check out the legendary café where the green fairy inspired many great artists and writers .

After walking in the footsteps of always interesting, but never politically correct modern Bohemian David Cerny, you'll witness some truly beautiful metro art on your way to the funky Źiźkov district. Here you'll learn about the absurd writer Jaroslav Hasek, fierce general Jan Źižka, and will not be able to avert your gaze from the second-ugliest building in the whole world.

By now, you should be ready for a beer from the Pivoteka microbrewery and another sampling of fresh offerings from the farmer's market, bakery, or
gourmet shop. You'll move on with this cultural tour of Prague by taking the metro towards the always-beautiful Vinohrady, where you'll enjoy wonderful views as you walk through the park while chatting about daily life in Prague.

But the tour isn't over yet! Leave the park behind you and enter the coolest, but admittedly not the cleanest, part of Prague. Vršovice will give you a
feel for modern Bohemia, and you will choose one of the amazing cafés to enjoy local snacks, drinks, and good company. Get local expert tips for the rest of your stay before taking the tram back to the Old Town to live as the free-spirited Bohemian you've discovered within yourself!
