What to Expect
Begin the day with an 8:30 pick-up from your hotel in Prague and embark on a lovely trip trough the Czech countryside.

First of all, visit the lovely chateau Červená Lhota which is a former fortress and was constructed in the middle of the 14th century. After exploring the chateau's architecture, move to Zelená Hora. This place is famous for the extraordinary building of pilgrimage Church of St. Jan of Nepomuk. The pilgrimage Church of St. Jan of Nepomuk originated thanks to the cooperation of the two important men – the abbot of the Žďár monastery, Václav Vejmluva, and the genius architect Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel. The impulse behind the construction of the church was the reveal of preserved tissue in the grave of Jan of Nepomuk in St. Vitus Cathedral in 1719. A legend says that the priest gave his life for keeping a confession secret of queen Žofie.

Afterwards enjoy lunch in local restaurant where you can try typical czech cuisine. After lunch, visit the town of Ždár nad Sázavou and visit the most interesting places connected with the extraordinary architect Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel. You will get to know the life of the Cistercian monks, enter the personal house of an abbot a prelature, visit the Basilica of the Assumption of Virgin Mary and St. Nicholas, and visit the dormitories of the monks.

The last stop will be the Church of St. Jacob which was built in the 12th century and is one of a kind in the Czech Republic. The church has a rectangular nave and a distinctly tall tower at it's west end. The south side is the most remarkable, as it is richly decorated with romanic sculptures. This decoration is the biggest preserved set of romanic sculptures in the country. After all day exploring will go back to Prague where we can drop off you at your hotel or in other place in centre of Prague.
