Full description
Depart Prague and journey to the beautiful spa town of Karlovy Vary about 100 kilometers to the west of the Czech Republic capital. Upon arrival, benefit from the chance to take a walk along its enchanting promenade. Founded by King Charles IV in 1358, Karlovy Vary is notable for its mineral springs that have healed many celebrities, including the German poet Goethe and the Russian Tsar Peter the Great. Stroll along the colonnades of the spa and get a taste of the hot springs for yourself. The town is well-known as the location of the Moser glass factory, founded by Ludwig Moser in 1893. Renowned around the world for its high quality glassware, Moser's former clients include the court of the British King Edward VII, the Shah of Persia and Emperor Franz Josef I of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, among others. Take a guided walking tour of the historical town center. Benefit from some free time to shop and enjoy a stroll on your own before the return journey to Prague.

      Informative, well prepared trip

We had an excellent and knowledgeable guide who shared the history of the Czech Republic, Prague, and Karlovy Vary with us. The bus was comfortable and had working wifi throughout the trip. The stop at Moser Glass Factory was fascinating. And the time in karlovy vary felt long enough to appreciate the beauty and too short to appreciate all this historical corner has to offer.

      Worth

The visit is worth it. The minibus can be improved (lack of power). The Russian-Spanish guide who attended us seemed quite lazy in terms of level of Spanish, explanations and interest. Sometimes he said nonsensical things, I suppose because of his level of the language. She is quite an older woman with a rather monotonous and boring tone. There was another Spanish guide with another group who showed much more interest in explaining things and it was a pleasure to hear her. Half an hour more in Karlovy Vary instead of lunch / glass factory would be recommended.

      Judy was amazing!

Pickup was prompt. Our tour guide, Judy, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She knew everything about everything we saw! The Moser glass factory was very interesting, and the town of Karlovy Vary is beautiful. Highly recommended.
