What to Expect
Discover some of the most beautiful cities in the Czech Republic on a 2-day tour of Bohemia. Go to the well-preserved village of Holašovice to see outstanding examples of 18th and 19th century vernacular buildings from the South Bohemia Baroque. Travel back to the Middle Ages, and explore the stunning city of Český Krumlov and its 13th-century Renaissance castle.

Day 1:
Following a pick-up from your hotel in Prague at 08:30, transfer to Písek where you will enjoy a tour through the city and have lunch at a local restaurant. Písek first appeared in written history back in 1243, when its name was mentioned in a royal decree. However, the history of the place itself is much older. Lots of evidence was found that the surrounding area was inhabited by man tens of thousands years ago. Continue to Chateau Hluboká, where a local guide will tell you the history of the 13th-century castle and its Bohemian kings. Then, transfer to the UNESCO town of Holašovice to check into a lovely guesthouse and enjoy dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 2:
Following breakfast at your guesthouse, travel to the beautiful city of Český Krumlov, where a local guide will show you the town and sights before lunch in a typical Czech restaurant. Given UNESCO World Heritage status at the same time as the Prague Castle district, Český Krumlov is crowned by a spectacular castle and home to the Egon Schiele Art Museum. Known as the “Pearl of the Renaissance,” the castle occupies a promontory that overlooks the red-tiled roofs of the town and provides views of the Blanko Forest and valley. Among the non-architectural highlights of the city will be the chance to try some typical Czech cuisine, before your return transfer to Prague at around 19:00.
