Poros Island

Experience the Greek Islands on a full-day trip from Athens to the scenic islands of Aegina, Poros, and Hydra. Take the trip on a comfortable boat with many amenities and a friendly crew. Depart on the cruise from the old port of Athens in Faliro and go to Hydra where you have some free time to explore the cobblestone alleys and see the unique architecture, and the donkeys that still provide public transportation, and go swimming if you like. Later the cruise continues to Poros island, full of green pine forests and scented lemon groves, where you have more time to walk in the town and shop or eat at a local taverna. Continue to Aegina island, known for its pistachio groves and beautiful beaches. Take an optional bus tour of the Temple of Aphaia and the Monastery of Agios Nektarios in Aegina (at an extra fee). If you are not interesting to feel the discomfort of the ships, to wake up early in the morning, stressing yourself by using the public or private transfers to the port and you want to avoid the crowds and the small seats of the boats !!! Then ..you have to choose this tour. We will start from Athens driving for 3.30h from Corinth canal and thru olives, lemon , orange and grape farms. From the port of metoxi we ll take the boat to Hydra island (30 min). We will walk at the island of Hydra to the narrow streets to take a local feeling and taste of architecture, having in mind that at Hydra is not allowed any kind of vehicle but only mules. We will make a break for coffee or snack with a beautiful sea view. Then again in boat and we will drive for half hour to take the ferry to the next island of Poros. Poros island is a beautiful small aegean island a famous stop for yachting people of europe. We will spend about 3 hours for lunch and swimming at sandy beaches of Poros. At winter time we swimming at indoor pool of thermal spa for an hour, tickets 15 euro (not including). Later at afternoon we take the way back to Athens (3 hours). I will pick up you and we drive for 3 hours to Peloponnese peninsula green mountains, olive trees, orange and lemon trees and breathtaking views of Aegean Sea. From Galatas we take the ferry for 10 minutes to island of Poros and we will spend 2 hours with swimming at sandy beaches. Poros boasts of a storied tourist tradition that dates back to the 50s refers to the famed Twin Islands in the Saronic Gulf with crystal blue water, a famous stop for yachting people of Europe. About 13.00 we leave from Poros with a quick stop for Greek fast food "Souvlaki or pita giros" and we will drive for 40 minutes to take the boat for Hydra. Motorbikes or any kind of vehicle not allowed only mules. At 17.30 we will start driving back for 3 hours with a stop at Corinth canal.

Hydra, walk through the picturesque streets of Hydra or take a donkey ride. Poros is the smallest of the 3 islands and its main attraction is the narrow channel that separates the island from the coast of the Peloponnese and the well-known Lemon Forest where it offers an amazing view to visitors. Stay in Poros 1 hour. Aegina, the largest of the 3 islands and because it has many interests outside the port. Stay in Aegina for about 2 hours.
