What people are saying about Pompei

This visit was a fantastic experience, definitely above expectations: the credit goes to the beauty of the archaeological site of Pompeii and our guide, Lello. A true professional, prepared, friendly, empathetic, sensitive and full of energy. He spoke, described, showed, indicated, told for two and a half hours without ever missing a beat, he completely kidnapped our children: two seven-year-olds and one curious and lively that they followed with interest and without ever getting bored. Lello was simply fantastic: he spoke to the children looking them straight in the eye, he was projected on them but he did not forget to involve the adults as well. He explained everything using simple words and explaining them when they were out of date, he expressed himself in such a way as to be at child's height, he noticed when one of the three's attention fell and made him the protagonist of the speech so as not to lose him. We all deserve a Lello to visit Pompeii. Thanks immensely.

Paolo was absolutely excellent. He is an archeologist who has been (and still is) actively involved in excavations near Pompeii. He was prompt, friendly, and engaging. My 2 daughters, ages 8 and 11, really liked him and learned a lot. He kept s good pace to keep interest high—and also sought out shady spots when he’d stop to tell us about something. Our visit was greatly enriched by Paolo. I walked past other visitors in large groups being strung along—or going it alone without a guide—and felt very glad we chose to use Askos Tours. Even in the hot, walking for almost 3 hours, my girls were nothing but happy and engaged. (And so were the adults in our family: we are 3-generations.) Worth every Euro!

The guide entertained the children in a wonderful way and was attentive to every need, in the end even gave them magnets and a book about Pompeii

Guide (Roberta) very prepared and very good with children (7 and 11 years old). It is worth the expense

Fantastic tour for our family with an engaging and knowledgeable guide. Thoroughly recommend.
